Signing up as a contractor is becoming very attractive to both employees and employers, especially in the current job market. Whereas before in the job market, permanent workers viewed temporary placements as unstable and not a good option, and saw it as an unwise career move, temp jobs are becoming popular as a way of building skills, adding substance to a resume or supplementing income in tough economic times. Employers are moving more towards contracts as it becomes difficult to justify full time roles to management cutting back thanks to the global meltdown.
